poll takers

O.k., I just have to know. All of you who said you think of what to make for dinner in the morning...do you have a schedule or are you secretly gormet chefs and slave over the stove all day? I can rarely think of something to cook. It's like that part of my brain got lost when we moved fro Idaho. Help!

You know when I start thinking about dinner? About 10 minutes before dinnertime. And I realize my only ingredients are ketchup, mustard, taco seasoning, an old can of kidney beans and limp lettuce leaves.
If you find a great way to start thinking about dinner in the morning, please share!

I'm lazy and I don't want to have to think EVERYDAY about what to have for dinner so here's what I did. I made a list of all the things I like to cook. Not just what I CAN cook but what I LIKE to cook. It came up to about 25 things. I make sure I have the ingredients in the house for those 25 meals and pencil in a sort of schedule on the calendar but if I don't feel like say...the stroganoff...I'll switch with the next day's meal of... fajitas, or something. Count some days for leftovers and you've got a month of not having to think about a meal or worrying if you have the ingredients except for the fresh stuff. Ofcourse there's days for experimenting too and I can always add to the list. Good luck!

we eat out too often. my poor working mom body often doesn't have it in me to cook after work a lot of the time!
