I have a little shadow

Friday was a BEAUTIFUL warm, sunny day. We all put on our jackets and shoes and went outside to play. As we were walking down the sidewalk, Heidi suddenly noticed her shadow. She kept staring at it and started walking slower and slower until she finally came to a complete stop. Then Heidi squatted down, lifted up one shoe and tried to pull the shadow off the bottom of it. When that didn't work, she stood up and started walking backward to see if she could get rid of it that way. Finally she just refused to walk, so I had to pick Heidi up and carry her until we got to a shady spot where she no longer had a shadow. Once she could no longer see it, she hopped down happily and ran off to play.

Oh, that is too funny. Don't you love how little kids make you look at the world so differently?
